When leaf springs are under heavy loads the ride may become harsh with poor handling characteristics. The airbag system we provide will assist the leaf sprung suspension under heavy loads by becoming part of the suspension system. The airbags reduce the amount of weight upon the leaf springs reinstating them back to a normal operation. Because the vehicle will be back to a normal ride height the handling characteristics are improved and the harsh ride reduced making it a safer vehicle on the road. The airbag system also assists when towing heavy trailers improving the handling capabilities. The air assist is a simple Schrader valve allowing air directly into the air bags via a airline at your local garage or a plug in portable 12v air compressor carried in your vehicle (We have a base setting for the 1000KG load).
