A EIKO 7 volt glow plug made in Japan. Elko are a company suppling automotive electric parts since 1948.

A glow plug is a heating device to aid the starting of a diesel engine in cold weather. When the ignition is turned on a light appears on the dash sending an electrical current to the glow plug probe. When the dash light extinguishes the probe has generated enough heat to ignite the diesel when the engine is started.

Nb: The glow-plug supplied may be longer than the ORIGINALS with the only difference being that they protrude out of the cylinder head further. The glow-plug screws into the head the same distance, as the chamfer stop has the same distance as the original glow-plug.
